Vera Ormuš, was born on 18. 04. 1963 in Zagreb. She completed her secondary/high-school education at the Center for Administration and Justice, where she graduated in 1982 and obtained the professional title of administrative officer. From 02. 11. 2001, she started working at the University of Zagreb at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology as a business secretary of the Research Institute of Wood Industry and a business secretary of the scientific and professional journal Drvna industrija. With the adoption of the new Statute and the new systematization in 2005, she became the administrative officer at the Institute of Wood Science. Since 2008 she has been working as the administrative officer at the Institute for Material Technologies, too. She participated as administrative-technical associate in several international scientific and professional conferences, as well as in the preparation of their proceedings. She is also a member of the Organizing Committee of Phytosanitary Education Seminars of the first and second degrees, related to ISPM 15. At the end of 2006, she became a permanent member of the ongoing professional project Organization and Application of the Phytosanitary System ISPM 15 in the field of wood packaging materials in the international traffic.
