Laboratory of Noise and Vibration Measurements

In the Laboratory is used to perform activities related to noise and vibration testing produced by machines in the wood industry and forestry plants, as well as to the evaluation of the harmful effects of vibrations and noise transmitted to the hand-arm system and to the whole body of the worker when using the machines, in accordance with the applicable standards and recommendations.
 

The Laboratory disposes of vibration data logger with three axis accelerometers for vibration and noise measurement with the relevant software support for data analysis in accordance with the applicable regulations and the ability to conduct their own specific analysis as requested by users. Likewise, for the outdoor measurements performed in the field, vibrometers, sound-level meters and dosimeters are used for measuring daily exposure to noise and vibrations, and all data loggers before starting with the measurements, are calibrated by calibrators to monitor sound-level-meters and vibration data loggers.
