Student mentoring program
REGULATIONS ON THE STUDENT MENTORING PROGRAM AT THE FACULTY OF FORESTRY, UNIVERSITY OF ZAGREB
The student mentoring program is defined as the voluntary systematic provision of peer support to first and second year undergraduate students during their study and academic development. The program also applies to those first year graduate students who have completed their undergraduate studies at another faculty, and who express a need for this type of support. The student mentoring program is intended for first and second year female and male students of all undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology, University of Zagreb.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM? a. support and advice for students during undergraduate and graduate studies in navigating the Faculty and in mastering the curriculum b. improving the quality of study c. increasing the passing rate of students in knowledge tests d. encouraging students to continue and complete their studies e. encouraging students to participate in research activities f. encouraging students to participate in workshops, seminars, professional and scientific international and domestic conferences g. encouraging students to use additional learning opportunities, acquire additional skills and knowledge in the field of forestry; urban forestry, nature and environmental protection; design of wood products and wood technology outside the Faculty and the University of Zagreb h. ensuring better connections and cooperation between students in the lower and upper years of all studies at the Faculty i. supporting foreign students in navigating the Faculty and in mastering the curriculum.
The program also applies to those first year graduate students who have completed their undergraduate studies at another faculty, and who express a need for this type of support.
