Databases on invasive species. Current research on invasive species. 3. Problems of standardization of terminology and criteria. 4. Ways and means of spread of invasive plants. 5. Ecosystem invasibility and habitat compatibility. 6. Functional features of invasive plants. 7. Effects of invasive plants (ecological effects, impact on biological diversity, socio-economic effects, examples from practice...). 2 h 8. Legal regulation (Global, EU, Croatia). 2 h 9. Possibilities of managing invasive species, methods of control and prevention. 2 h 10. Presentation of selected herbaceous invasive plants (global, regional and national). 3 hours Exercises 1. Determination of our most common herbaceous invasive plant species in the practicum with the help of keys 4h 2. Determination of plants in the field site 4 h 3. Assessment of ecological effects of invasive species based on field sampling 4h 4. Preparation of recommendations for the control and prevention of the spread of invasive species 3 h
