Succession and monitoring of vegetation

Opterećenje: 30+0+0
Sadržaj predmeta: Lectures: 1. Dynamics and laws of plant cover development (syndynamics). Basic types of dynamic changes. Progressive succession. Regressive succession. Examples. 2. Endodynamic and exodynamic successions. Examples. 3. Processes of succession (syngenetic, ecogenetic and phylogenetic change). The role of the edifier in the process of succession. 4. Syndynamic units (stage, phase, successive sequence, climax, paraclimax). Examples. 5. Initial, transitional, permanent and climatic zone communities. Examples. 6. Vegetation successions of the planar belt of the continental region. 7. Vegetation successions of the Kolin and Montane belt of the continental region. 8. Vegetation successions of the altimontane and subalpine belt of the continental region. 9. Vegetation successions of the Mediterranean region. 10. Methods of succession research. New methods of monitoring successions and the state of vegetation. 11. Flora composition as an indicator of the state of the ecosystem. 12. Monitoring the state of conservation of species and habitat types (in accordance with the provisions of the Directives). Monitoring programs. 13. Impact of climate change on successions of vegetation. 14. Anthropogenic causes of successive changes. 15. The practical importance of syndynamics and its application in practice.
